1999 Impressed mum as I came into her room this morning and said “can I have” but needed help with the “a drink please” bit. Mum thought I was very clever and said it was far nicer than the “dink” I usually holler in her ear. That’s as may be, but it’s much harder work if you ask me. I mean, why use all those words when you can get the same result just using one? Adults! I’ll never understand them. Found the camera on the lounge floor this morning and took several photos of the telly, the carpet, the curtain, my foot etc. Should look good when the films developed (nice surprise for mum anyhow). Went to Edons and then Nanny’s today. The sun was shining and I played in the garden all day. Nanny gave me a new shirt from Uncle Teddy – a Southend United one! I was very tired tonight which resulted in tantrums; largely because mummy pulled the plug out of the bath just because I slapped her! I was back home and in bed by seven and asleep two minutes later.
2019: Long drive back from Wales to Beccles today, made worse by an hour and a half jam on the A14. Legs are pretty wobbly from yesterdays run but I’m happy I did the run and am also celebrating one year with Zof today! She has stuck by me (even holding my hand in hospital after surgery and looking after me when I was discharged at the beginning of July when we were just friends). She has inspired me, encouraged me, helped me, filled me with confidence and let me be me. Looking forwards to many more years together.

1999: Tried to get into mums bed at ten last night, but I obviously hadn’t grovelled hard enough as I was promptly returned to my own bed! I did manage to achieve my goal at three though. The washing machine man came round again this morning. I took my beanbag into the kitchen and sat watching him work and then we left him to it and mum took me to Edons. I managed to have dry pants for 4 hours at Edons today and I used the toilet. I played in the garden tonight, coming in for tea – yum, yum cannelloni, and back out in the garden before bed. Cant waste this lovely weather
2019: A glorious today too. Saturday sunshine. Off to my cousins 18th birthday party. I spied the hot tub as soon as I got there and lasted a two whole hours before borrowing some shorts and getting in. And that’s where I spent most of the day. The birthday girl got in briefly this evening – fully clothed for some reason (guilty as charged) but she took it in good humour. Had a brilliant day with my family and my bruv and I were the last to leave just before midnight.

1999: – Good Friday, but mum didn’t seem to think so at 6.45! I don’t know why, she got 15 minutes longer than usual and we had hit cross buns for breakfast. There’s no pleasing some people! We walked over to the town to get some shopping and I walked all the way back. I made friends with a dog, who in return wrapped his lead around me and pulled me over. It was a lovely day and I played in the garden and then Uncle Teddy took me to the park where I found not just the wettest, but the muddiest spot and Uncle Teddy had to rescue me. I was very tired when I got back home and sat drinking my tea unable to move for about 10 minutes. Mum thought it was great, but I wasn’t so sure.
2019: A week or so until Easter this year. Last day in Budapest and sunshine as tonight we flew back to reality and the cold. Bit of a rough landing but it was Ryan Air – last time we flew with them was to Ireland many years ago. They threw it on the runway that time, just 10 minutes after serving mum a second hot chocolate. She wasn’t too happy with her chocolate patterned, white t shirt then but it makes us laugh now.
