1999: Hot cross buns and chocolate Easter eggs for breakfast. I love Easter (and so does mum by the looks of it!). We went swimming this morning and had a lovely ‘dim’ for an hour. I got out of the pool okay, but mum had to fight to get me out of the lovely warm shower. We set off for a walk to the local shop this afternoon and arrived back home an hour and a half later! On the way, we had decided to explore the alley way opposite our house thinking we could cut through to the shops, but it turned out that it led to the other end of our road (a dead end) and we had to walk all the way back again and start over. Nice one mum. I did find a great stick though and took it all the way to the shops and back – even though it was nearly as big as me. Amongst my antics I hit someone’s car with the stick, pulled someone’s parking chain off the hook on their drive, tried to climb the street lamps, stopped and waved at all the cars and touched all the traffic cones as we went past the roadwork’s. Once home I went out in the garden and discovered that I could use mums clothes horse to climb up my slide. Mum keeps going very pale today. Think I’ll have to keep an eye on her – she might be sickening for something
2019: Got into Zofs parents late last night from Stansted. No antics today just lazing around and trying to acclimatise. Looking forward to heading back to our flat tonight but not so much work tomorrow

1999: – Good Friday, but mum didn’t seem to think so at 6.45! I don’t know why, she got 15 minutes longer than usual and we had hit cross buns for breakfast. There’s no pleasing some people! We walked over to the town to get some shopping and I walked all the way back. I made friends with a dog, who in return wrapped his lead around me and pulled me over. It was a lovely day and I played in the garden and then Uncle Teddy took me to the park where I found not just the wettest, but the muddiest spot and Uncle Teddy had to rescue me. I was very tired when I got back home and sat drinking my tea unable to move for about 10 minutes. Mum thought it was great, but I wasn’t so sure.
2019: A week or so until Easter this year. Last day in Budapest and sunshine as tonight we flew back to reality and the cold. Bit of a rough landing but it was Ryan Air – last time we flew with them was to Ireland many years ago. They threw it on the runway that time, just 10 minutes after serving mum a second hot chocolate. She wasn’t too happy with her chocolate patterned, white t shirt then but it makes us laugh now.

1999: Decided I wanted a calm morning, so instead of getting into mum’s bed and making her sheets wet, I stood by the bed and told her I was wet. At Edon’s we had to go shoe shopping for the kids. Isn’t it bad enough that I have to do this with my mother?! When mum picked me up, I had vest and trousers on as had been running around playing with the others and was very hot. Also told mum I had a bad head. When we were playing, Dan had fallen over backwards and fallen right onto my head. Ouch! That hurt. No real damage done though. Mum managed to get me home with the temptation of seeing Action Man. After quite a search we found him in my bed.
2019: We arrived in Budapest last night, after eventually clearing security at Stansted – Zof had scissors in her make up bag in hand luggage and so ensued a full search. Upon emptying the bag during the search, we both realised we had left our swimming costumes at home so bought some at the airport. Had a great day on the Hop on Hop off (ironic with my ankle) bus around the city, exploring, eating and drinking

1999: I waved to all the cars, buses and lorries on the way, to Edons today and not one of them waved back, I didn’t think that was a very good start to the day. It was quiet today, as it’s half term, so no Jake or Josh, but Lea and Dan were there. I didn’t want mum to go this morning and this evening I came running out to meet her. There was an Easter egg in the back of the car, which I spied straight away, and ended up eating it all but still ate my tea (which I feel was a good move on my part) Played in the garden, watched some of Simbas Pride with mum after my bath, and was in bed and asleep by 8.00. Not a very eventful day, but the chocolate was good!
2019: I clearly used to love chocolate. Still like my sweets but chocolate is one of my worst “go through me” intakes. But then most foods do and I’m either eating for England or not at all. Got caught short in Tesco the other day and had to run (luckily pre ankle injury!). I followed the toilet signs only to come across a large rail of clothing blocking my path. I had to run all the way round another two aisles and came to the disabled loo first with a big sign “Not all disabilities are visible”. Phew! I went in, pulled everything down and sat on the throne just in time to do a big “Crohn’s let rip”. Relief. Bugger. There was no bloody toilet roll. So ensued 10 minutes of trying to get Zofs attention by text (who is usually glued to her phone) and eventually she responded, found me loo roll and deposited it to me in the disabled loo. No need to text to get her attention today as we are glued together, at Stansted and on our way to Budapest. Lets Party!
