1999: The big day has arrived – the social engagement of the year – Matt and Lou’s wedding. I greeted mum at 7 by presenting her with a nappy full of poo. Only thing was as I went to show her a lump of it fell in her bed. We had a bath and got spruced up in our wedding clothes and set off mid-morning with Nanny and Pa. I stayed in the church for 2 whole minutes and then mum took me out. I don’t know why, I would have been quite happy to stay longer. I played “runaway, runaway” and mum wasn’t too pleased. Eventually we went for a walk down the road to get some sweeties and a drink from the shop. We got back to the church just as everyone was coming out and off we headed to the reception. There was music and I danced and pretended to play music with Pa and then went and shook hands with the musicians. At the table where there was a present waiting for me of books, pens and bubbles. I wandered off at one point, Pa followed and we wandered around. When we got back to the hall we discovered that everyone else was running around hysterically hunting for something (or someone!) I fell asleep at 9.45 following 5 whole tracks of dancing in mummy’s arms.
2019: Chilled day with Zof watching movies. Decided on Chinese for tea and, having spent £40 I did not want to pay £4 delivery so off we went to collect it. As I was driving, in my rear view mirror, I saw a horse and rider get knocked off behind me. I rapidly turned round and headed back to administer first aid and keep the 15 year old girl as calm and reassured as possible. Unfortunately, her horse had to be put down at the scene and fortunately there was an air ambulance in the skies. She was conscious but badly injured and am hoping that some of my actions helped reduce some of the impact. Got to Chinese 3 hours late but they now cooking us another one (Police said the constabulary could have paid for it if it hadn’t been £40 – think I deserve that much Chinese right now)

1999: Mum’s happy. Something to do with pay day and me staying in bed until half six. We sat on the settee for a while and then it was on with the routine. Returned from Edons today with a bag full of wet clothes. Luckily it happened on a ‘good day’. I wish it could be pay day every day! After mummy had tucked me in and gone downstairs tonight, I decided I wanted my Teddy bear down from his home in the wall hammock. I thought it best not call mum, so I figured a way to get him by climbing on my chest of drawers. Mum came running when she heard the ‘thump’ of me hitting the floor. Fortunately both Teddy and I were fine and snuggled down to sleep.
2019: I started my Snowden run at 6.18 am and I absolutely smashed by 4 hour target with a time of 2:57!! Honestly, I am so happy, I literally broke down in tears, couldn’t believe what I have just achieved; surgery last year, still not in remission and a colonoscopy just 3 days ago. Thank you so much to all the donators and for the support I have had. @crohnsandcolitisuk I have done it not only for you but for all of our community. We are the strongest people and we will ALWAYS push on. Mount Snowden I have smashed you and I was not beaten.
Note to others: If you go early in the morning there is nowhere to get water at the top at this time of day and my camel back ran dry so make sure you pace the water or get an extra large camel back!

1999: Another very restless night but at least mum only swapped beds with me twice. Why we have to swap anyway I don’t know, surely it would be much better if she just stayed put every time I wriggled over. Home today but we had to wait for nanny to collect us, so we waited with Pat and when Nanny arrived I shared him with her.
I had a close shave this afternoon. I was playing in my bedroom, when mummy says she heard a series of loud bangs. She came running into the bedroom to find the wardrobe door on the floor and me next to it. How it missed me she does not know (only I do and I’m not telling), but she’s very glad it did! Nanny and Pa popped round tonight and Pa brought me a book. Mummy read four stories to me and has decided that I obviously have a thing about this number as that is the number of wee’s I’ve done this afternoon, in various locations around the house. I’m just re-establishing my territory mum.
2019: Got paid today, bought myself some tools and a radio to sing along to as I work and felt proper grown up. I seem to make a better job of building things now than I do destroying them!
