June 2nd – Thundering Explosions – Feel the Roar

1999:   It was thundering and lightening this morning and raining really heavily when I got into mums bed at half five.  She got me some juice and we went back to sleep until the alarm went off at seven.  We didn’t have a very good morning and both ended up leaving the house in tears!  Nanny collected me from Edons this morning and made me put my shoes on before we left so we didn’t get off on the right foot either!  I can never stay miserable with Nan for long though so it got better very quickly.  Unfortunately I can’t say the same for the potty training – I was weeing and pooing everywhere.  The funniest was when Pa held me up over the toilet for a big boys wee and my bum exploded all over his leg!  Oops!   I didn’t play in the garden for long today as the sun seems to be as lazy as mum today and is refusing to get up! I played indoors with my toys and made a card on the computer with Pa.  Mum came home at five, and this morning forgotten, I gave her a big cuddle.  I had my tea and bath at Nan’s and then wrapped up warm to go home as it was very windy.  I was asleep at seven with my bottle, moonbeams and motorbike magazine propped against the wall.

2019: How I loved my motorbike books and magazines. Would love a bike again. I drove really slowly past the motocross track on the way to Stansted yesterday an thought Id be happy to do that rather than a road bike.  Later we saw a his and her Harley on the A12. Unfortunately Zof doesn’t like bikes but one day …… the freedom and the thrill. I might not have my bikes anymore but I still have that bloomin bum

I may do stupid things and make light of them but deep down there’s a reason and I love exploration, even if I cannot fully understand the outcome!
