1999: Padded into mums at 4.30 and snuggled down with her until later when she came up with my milk and her tea before I’d even woken up. Mum came in and said good morning, and gave me a big hug and kiss. I picked up my milk and glared at her. Mum asked if I had the hump with her I nodded. She asked if I was talking to her, I shook my head. Well I’m two now, grumpiness is legal, I’m tired out from yesterday’s activities and she’s not singing to me anymore. I need some attention and mollycoddling. It didn’t work – she left me to it and went for a bath. That one didn’t work then, but I’m not going to give up. I didn’t want to go to sleep at Edons today, but got so tired that I fell asleep in the buggy on the way back from the school run and I was still there at 4.00 when Mummy came to collect me. I let her lift me carefully into the car and gave her a few minutes to dream of a cuppa and unwinding session before she started all over again with me. Ha ha, fooled you, I pinged open my eyelids and stayed awake until 9.
2019: Great night last night, a ton of Chinese, lots of beer and JD and lots of company – Including Aunty Esa – now known as Lisa and Dessica – now known as Jess. She now has a younger brother called Chris who came along as did Lisa’s partner Darren. Lisa is now my God Mummy (along with Bim – Sausage Kim, Aunty Dee (Terry’s wife) and Uncle Terry is my Godfather). I got christened when I was 8 – well everyone else seemed to have God Parents and I didn’t want to be left out. I got enough birthday money to cover my lock expense, a trip to Budapest from Zof in March and a pair of white trainers
